Plate Group Midwest Regional Sales Manager

The Plate Group Midwest Regional Sales Manager will be based at Nucor Brandenburg and have commercial responsibilities for the Plate Group in the Midwest Market.  The position is responsible for the growth and development of the commercial team while implementing Operational and Commercial Excellence.  This position will support our goal to take care of our customers by continually improving safety, sustainability efforts, branding initiatives, quality, costs, productivity, and profitability.  Job duties include, but are not limited to:  Leadership role in maximizing Plate Group return on sales, growing market share, enhancing product offerings and developing a culture of continuous improvement.  Provide experience and leadership to critically analyze business needs and help formulate a clear vision and strategy.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Five years of combined experience and leadership in commercial, sales, and/or marketing
• Prior sales or commercial leadership experience in the steel industry

4-year degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Sales or commercial leadership experience in steel and/or manufacturing.
Plate product experience including Heat Treat, heavy gauge and/or other value-added products.
