Summary: The Plant Operations Manager oversees all manufacturing and business operations for the facility(ies) and provides direct support to the Project Delivery Leader through driving manufacturing throughput, schedule attainment and KPI monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production processes.
- Develop and implement production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor production metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Creates and monitors production capacity models to scale to business demand.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff, including supervisors, engineers, and line workers and office personnel.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the manufacturing and operations team.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that drives continuous improvement at all levels.
Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality products.
- Address and resolve quality issues promptly.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including cost control measures.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Creates capital investment strategies with return on investment analysis to drive profitability and production efficiency.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Optimize inventory levels to meet production demands.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on production performance and key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of proven experience in manufacturing operations management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
