The Plant Manager establishes and implements strategies to meet corporate wide objectives as well as directing all plant operations with overall responsibility for safety, quality, production, maintenance and other operations requirements for the Rockland, Massachusetts facility and Team.
Responsibilities:
- Leads, influences, and motivates multiple diverse stakeholders creating a culture of strong adherence to policy, practices and strategies. Excellent leadership and communication skills required for adapting to all levels of the organization
- Direct and manage plant operations for Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Delivery, OEE, Costs, Teammate Capabilities, Preventative / Corrective Maintenance and Productivity
- Coordinate plant activities through strategy development and deployment with departmental managers to insure KPI objectives are accomplished on time, on budget
- Develop and execute capital planning strategy and operational expense budget
- Establish and sustain a culture of loss identification, root cause analysis with effective countermeasure deployment
- Develops plans and tracks data for the efficient use of materials, machines and Teammates
- Ensures effective systems, capabilities and training to accomplish key business objectives
- Implements and maintains predictive / preventative maintenance programs, ISO 9001 & 14001 programs
- Incorporates and sustains a strong culture of 5S, TPS standard work and factory visual management
- Provides direction, development and leadership to direct reports
- Drives continuous improvement objectives and promotes lean manufacturing principles and loss elimination activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or relevant field of study. Applicable experience may be considered
- 7 Years minimum Manufacturing experience; 3 years Management / Leadership experience with proven progression of responsibilities
- Ability to review, analyze and interpret general business reports, specifications, procedures and manuals
- Proficient with Google Office programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience including 4-5 years management or leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of systematic tools including, but not limited to, Standard Work, Six Sigma, Reliability Centered Maintenance, 5S, ISO 9001 & 14001, FTA, Kaizen, and 8D
