Plant Maintenance Technician

Tri-Counties Plant Service seeks a friendly, detail-oriented Interior Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The individual will be responsible for providing indoor plant care at business locations throughout San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara counties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants, excellent customer service skills and enjoy working independently in a variety of professional settings.

While experience in indoor plant work is preferred, we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.

We provide flexible, part-time scheduling. Candidate has the option to choose from the following:
- 15 daytime hours/week, or
- 25 - 30 hours every-other week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as watering, pruning, fertilizing and cleaning plants at accounts.
- Monitor plant health by identifying signs of pests, disease or nutrient deficiencies.
- Replace plants as needed.
- Regularly communicate with owners.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns or special requests.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and plant replacements.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A passion for plants and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
- Attention to detail in work and communication.
- After training, ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete maintenance tasks.

REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed driver, own car, clean DMV record.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet.
- Comfortable using a ladder on occasion.

COMPENSATION
- Training rate: $18 for preliminary training period of two weeks.
- After training: $18 -$20/hour DOE.
- Consistent wage increases dependent on performance and advancement.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
