Job Description

In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a Planning & Logistics Analyst/Scheduler for our Owensboro, KY manufacturing facility.
Major Responsibilities:
- Planning daily warehouse transfers to ensure timely shipments from Distribution Centers to customers.
- Preparing weekly truck schedule for outside Distribution Centers and ensuring inventory is evenly balanced.
- Auditing finished goods returns to Distribution Centers and redistribution of inventory.
- Preparing monthly and yearly service level reports, finished goods inventory reports, and daily sales and inventory level reports.
- Recommending, initiating, and conducting special projects as requested.
- Assisting with compiling, developing, and monitoring the annual budget.
- Covering vacations in Planning as well as serving as coverage for Planning & Scheduling Manager as needed.
- Ensuring the master production plans developed are based on the sales forecast.
- Scheduling the production of tobacco products as well as tobacco-free products.
- Working closely with Purchasing and inventory control to ensure sufficient material is on hand to meet schedules.
- Analyzing and adjusting production schedules that are affected by changes in raw material or equipment.
- Balancing product mix between promotional product and open stock.
- Managing WIP inventory and finished good inventory to an agreed upon level.
- Analyzing inventory status daily to ensure proper availability to an agreed upon target.
Requirements
Education: College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: Desired previous experience in Planning/Scheduling in a Manufacturing environment. Warehouse Management Systems.
Skill/Knowledge: Adept at handling multi-faceted tasks and situations. Ability to interact effectively with all types and levels of personnel internally and externally. Knowledge in the areas of Lean Manufacturing, KBI and KP reporting. Warehouse Inventory Management. Working knowledge in Excel.
