Planning Coordinator

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Master Planning Manager, the Assistant is responsible for maintaining supply chain data integrity, including but not limited to purchase order dates, lead times, purchasing & planning codes, etc. The right individual will posses strong communication skills, both written and verbal as well as presentation skills. Working closely with buyers and planners, the assistant will need to articulate G&W requirements with supply base to achieve positive outcome. Ability to work in team environment as well as individual contributor with proactive mindset.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain Routings

• Maintain Master Data

• Issue PO’s as directed by MRP

• Follow up with vendors for confirmation dates or changes

• Assist Planners with Past Due POs

• Approve and maintain all Inventory Transaction forms

• Maintain Item Branch data

• Release work orders to production as planner directs

• Plan and schedule parts jobs when directed

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, work experience and skill development required.

• 1 -2 years experience in manufacturing environment

• Good computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal

• Basic MRP system understanding

• Good problem solving skills

• Ability to negotiate delivery dates with suppliers

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

• General Office Environment, PC use

• Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)
