Our client, a major LNG Company is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to work within their facilities located in Port Arthur, TX for a 1-year contract.
As a Planner/Scheduler, your main job is to create, manage, and monitor project schedules. You'll support management teams during project development and help with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning in the EPC contract execution phase. Your role includes forensic evaluations, risk schedule analyses, and providing recommendations to the project team.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop Project Schedule (45%)
Use Primavera P6 Professional for scheduling tasks.
Manage and report CPM project schedules.
Facilitate schedule reviews with the management team.
2. Contractor’s Schedule Review (25%)
Review contractor schedules and report issues to the Management team.
Monitor milestones and progress payments.
3. Scenario Analysis (5%)
Conduct "What-ifs" scenario analysis.
4. Change Orders and Recovery (5%)
Work on Change Orders with the Contracts Manager.
Analyze contractor schedule delay claims.
5. Risk Management (5%)
Collaborate with the Risk Management team.
Analyze schedule impacts of risks.
6. Documentation and Relationship Management (20%)
Maintain a "Lessons Learned" log.
Organize backups and schedule files.
Build positive relationships with customers, project members, and contractors.
7. Other Duties (5%)
Handle other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in project scheduling, planning, and analysis.
Hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
: Experience in the oil, gas, power, LNG industry.
: Experience as an Owner’s representative scheduler.
: Experience in evaluating Earned Value Management metrics.
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced knowledge of project management and construction best practices.
Advanced knowledge of schedule analysis tools like Acumen Fuse.
Intermediate knowledge of schedule risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.
Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Word, and MS Projects).
