Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as the main point of contact for sales, engineering, production, purchasing, and service to prioritize the kitting and assembly of products. Collaborates with these departments to establish production schedules and plans.
- Reviews and analyzes newly created and existing products. Determines if we make or buy the product. Maintains critical planning information in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), such as coverage groups, production pools, buyer groups, lead times, minimum inventory, order minimums and multiples, routes, bill of materials, forecasts, etc.
- Utilize Master Planning in the ERP system to firm, plan, schedule, and process production orders to meet demand and inventory targets.
- Expedites the shortages to meet the customer's delivery dates. Assist with resolving scheduling and capacity conflicts. Alerts the appropriate departments of schedule changes or delays.
- Works with production and quality to address defective products, determine the root cause, and take corrective action.
- Identify and drive process and product improvements to optimize inventory, reduce lead times, and improve quality and on-time delivery performance.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School/GED Required. Associates or bachelor's preferred; or 3-10 years related experience.
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and inventory management experience are preferred, but we will offer training to the right candidate
- MRP and inventory experience required.
- 3-10 years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with ERP software, Dynamics 365 preferred.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong negotiation skills are a must; ability to work and communicate effectively with sales team; manufacturing, leaders as well as vendors.
- Highly analytical, motivated and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
