Worker Designation – This role is designated as a remote role. You will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. Although this role is designated as remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree In social work or a related field
- Master's Degree In social work or a related field
- 3 or more years of related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Disability and insurance industry experience
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, assesses claimant needs by collaborating with Case Managers and providers to evaluate the physical and psychological condition; refers patients to additional medical services as needed; handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
- Serves as an advocate for claimants providing access to community services such as financial assistance, legal aid, and housing; develops, plans, and implements programs designed to improve the comfort and care of patients and their families; advises family caregivers regarding medical decisions
- Uses clinical expertise and judgement to formulate a care plan and provide on-going support that will assist the claimant and their family
- Conducts research to keep abreast of developments in social work; provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a lead or first-level supervisor
- Performs other related duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $105,000.
