LAKEVIEW/SOLON INTERMEDIATE
The Solon Community School District is in search of a qualified School Nurse. This position is a full-time position shared between Lakeview Elementary and the Solon Intermediate School. Candidates must have or the ability to acquire a Statement of Professional Recognition license through the Board of Educational Examiners, with the endorsement of PK-12 School Nurse SPR Non-Teaching.
Among other responsibilities, the School Nurse assists both the elementary and intermediate school to:
- Provide first aid care and health assessments of students;
- Communicate with teachers and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students;
- Administer medications and monitor delegated medication administration;
- Assist in the evaluation of students for Special Services (Special Education);
- Write care plans and coordinate the care of students with chronic or acute health conditions as needed;
- Coordinate and provide vision and hearing screening.

The Solon CSD is located in the heart of the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City corridor area. The district educates approximately 1500 PK-12 students with expected steady growth over the next several years.
