Pizza Maker

We are looking for a Pizza Maker to join our family-owned Italian grocery and assist our Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in making authentic and delicious pizza.

The Pizza Maker contributes to the company’s operation and success by preparing pizzas, assisting customers, and maintaining the Pizza Counter. Attributes that contribute to success in this role include exceptional customer service skills, being able to multitask, and being able to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
The Pizza Maker’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing pizza and food items, with extra attention given to specific requests.
• Cooking food as specified and working cooperatively with the rest of the Pizza Counter staff.
• Preparing food and condiments (measure, weigh, cut, slice, chop) for service per company recipes.
• Following directions and instructions from supervisors and Head Pizza Maker.
• Ensuring stations are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Providing high quality customer service by engaging customers and responding to questions.
• Storing and maintaining food properly and at appropriate temperatures.
• Complying with sanitation and hygienic standards and regulations.

The Pizza Maker’s work hours vary and will consist of day and evening shifts.
The ideal candidate for the Pizza Maker position:

• Has previous cooking experience, and experience in a retail grocery store or pizzeria.
• Is passionate about pizza and is dedicated to food quality and control.
• Can interact cordially with customers, including educating customers and offering suggestions.
• Is punctual, reliable, and can adhere to a regularly assigned work schedule.
• Can work while remaining standing for long periods of time.
• Can lift up to 50lbs.
