We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our team at Villa Nova Pizza. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious pizzas according to our recipes and customer preferences. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager
Ensure that all food preparation areas and surfaces are clean and sanitized
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production
- Assist in menu planning and development of new pizza flavors
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow proper knife handling techniques to ensure safety
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Pizza Cook or similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of pizza dough stretching, topping application, and baking techniques
- Familiarity with different pizza styles and regional variations
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
