Piping Estimator - HVAC & Procss Piping (FastPIPE)

Our client, a leading full-service mechanical contracting company in business for almost 50 years, is looking for a Piping Estimator.

This role is located in Millstone Township and can work a hybrid schedule. / FastPIPE software expertise expertise is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce meticulous and comprehensive HVAC piping and/or Process piping estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
• Utilize proprietary estimating software for accurate takeoffs of piping systems and associated components.
• Develop competitive bid prices and proposals for projects in the seven-figure range.
• Proficiently interpret and comprehend project plans, specifications and all other bid documents.
• Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) as necessary.
• Actively participate in site walk-throughs and job inspections
• Prepare thorough bids by developing a comprehensive estimate including equipment, material, labor and subcontractor costs.
• Review bids from vendors and subcontractors for specified materials and equipment.
• Uphold quality standards in line with organizational protocols, while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong attention to detail, precision, and focus.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated expertise in documentation practices.
• In-depth knowledge of FastPIPE software with advanced proficiency.
• Familiarity with blueprint interpretation.
• Technical proficiency in HVAC and piping systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
• Capable of working collaboratively within a team or autonomously.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 20 years of proven experience in the mechanical contracting industry.

Compensation: $170,000 – $210,000, full benefits, vacation.
