Picker Packer Shipper

Little Knits is a Seattle craft supplies outlet and we are looking for a talented and reliable individual for an order fulfillment/shipping/customer service hybrid position (we would love it if you are also a crafter). We are passionate about yarn and making craft supplies available to everyone through mail-based means so that they can live their best crafty life.

Job Description

• Pull orders accurately and efficiently.
• Check the contents of orders picked and prepare them for shipment.
• Create shipping labels by using various shipping platforms.
• Assemble and finalize shipment of orders while checking the accuracy of shipment labels.
• Order shipping supplies as needed on a timely basis.
• Unload incoming freight, unpack, inventory, and stock incoming merchandise.
• Enter inventory and other relevant data while using our proprietary software effectively and accurately.
• Respond to customer questions and other service needs in a timely manner through phone and email when needed.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of order fulfillment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
• Ability to work well on a team as well as independently.
• Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to speak kindly, clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to commute to Seattle (no long-distance commute please).
• Ability to work with computers effectively (must be able to use various email platforms, Chrome and Firefox).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be honest and motivated (no texting, taking personal calls, etc., during work hours).
• Must be able to commute to work in a reliable and timely manner (required).
• Photography and Photoshop skills are a big plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking around while picking orders.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to access and navigate the warehouse facility as needed.
• Must be able to lift 10 lbs. frequently, 40 lbs. occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
