Job SummarySenior Web Developer, duties will include designing, implementing, testing and maintaining web-based solutions for varied and information solution needs. Collaboration with solution users while balancing function/feature request with security requirements are key responsibilities for the Senior Web Developer. The developer will also be responsible for the migration and redesign of legacy applications.
ResponsibilitiesWeb Application Development - 90
Maintain and update Content Management System (CMS) primarily Drupal
Develop custom PHP application independent as well as inside CMS
CMS theme and template development
Migrate and redesign legacy web applications to organization standards
Engage information solution users to assist with design, migration, issue resolution and solution implementation
Ensure system and application security standards enforcement and adherence
Evaluate web solutions for University fit and technical compatibility
Evaluate and tune web solutions for volume, performance, reliability and availability
Project Management - 10
Manage multiple concurrent projects
Balance assigned priorities
Meet established timelines
Other -
Establishing, managing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive Web Accessibility Compliance strategy.
Research emerging web and CMS technologies
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology related field.
Required Experience
Three years of experience in a field directly related to this positions' duties and responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience with Drupal 6 and 7; HTML/HTML5; CSS/CSS3; JavaScript and JQuery
Extensive experience with Drupal themes, templates and custom modules
Experience with integrating Application Programming Interface (API) systems
Experience with Drupal Form API
Experience with JSON and XML data formats
Extensive experience with MySQL and/or Maria Database support and maintenance
Project management skills to balance all aspects of application life cycle
General project management and experience with concurrent projects
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
