The Pick, Pack, and Ship Associate is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling both internal and external customer orders by picking items from inventory, packing them securely, and ensuring timely shipment. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse and meeting customer satisfaction goals. This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED equivalency, or currently enrolled.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for order tracking and inventory management.
- Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety protocols.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS/JOB DUTIES
- Utilize picking lists, invoices, and/or electronic devices to accurately locate and pick items from designated shelves or storage areas.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Organize picked items for packing in a systematic manner.
- Pack items securely and efficiently according to established guidelines, ensuring products are protected from damage during transit.
- Use appropriate packaging materials, such as boxes, bubble wrap, and tape, to ensure the integrity of the shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and other required documentation accurately.
- Conduct visual inspections of items for any defects or damages before packing.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to the supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by updating systems with quantities picked and packed.
- Notify supervisors of low stock levels and participate in periodic cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment where required.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to security, accuracy, and compliance with shipping regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with other warehouse and purchasing associates to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Meet daily and weekly shipment targets to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and logistics teams to schedule pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as required.
