Form of work A multi-specialty healthcare group in New York City is actively seeking a Cantonese and/or Mandarin-speaking licensedGastroenterologist to join one of their practices in Manhattan. Responsibilities: TheGastroenterologistwill: Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary Providing compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concerns Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary Participating in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions Performing other related duties, as assigned Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York Completion of Internal Residency Board Certified inGastroenterology Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin) DEA license Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) Desired Skills: 3+ years ofGastroenterology experience
