• Practice Detail:  Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Faculty Physician for our family medicine program. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital to provide medical services to patients and teach residents.

Responsibilities

Position Highlights:

• The Family Medicine program of Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital is a community teaching hospital in Rochester and affiliated with Wayne State University.

• The ACGME accredited FM program is 10-10-10 residents throughout PGY1-3 years.

• The position also includes serving as faculty for transitional year and preventative medicine residents who do their intern year at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise residents both in an inpatient and outpatient setting
• Faculty will see their own patients a 1/2-1 full-day per week
• Oversee 1-2 program wide quality improvement projects
• Provide 10-12 lectures on various topics throughout the year
• Supervise the Student Run Free Clinic at Wayne State University 3 Saturdays per year
• Engage in hospital committees and residency program committees with opportunity for graduated leadership responsibilities over time

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
• Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Preferred Credential(s):
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

 

Education:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.

Additional Preferences

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

• May be board-eligible to apply, but must be board-certified prior to hire date.
