Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH) is seeking a board certified or board eligible emergency medicine physician to join their team of friendly physicians and outdoor enthusiasts in the gorgeous Adirondack High Peaks. ECH provides emergency care in two critical access locations, one in Elizabethtown, NY, and the other in Ticonderoga, NY. Inpatient services are provided at the Elizabethtown site, and each site treats approximately 8,000 patients per year in rural setting. Both emergency departments are well equipped with 24/7 lab, radiology including CT, state of the art point of care ultrasound, and video laryngoscopy. ECH is part of the University of Vermont Health Network and benefits tremendously from outstanding telemedicine, specialty consultation, and patient transfer support through the University of Vermont Health Network. The connection to the University of Vermont also enables ECH physicians to participate in many educational offerings at UVM including simulation and procedure training, and to teach resident and medical students rotating through the department. Shifts are typically 24 hours, though with some flexibility to do 12 hour shifts with full time consistent of six 24 hour shifts per month.
