DEFINITION:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is a technical Health Care worker who performs selected Physical Therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
**Optimal compensates employees based on a per visit rate.**
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduated from a physical therapist assistant (PTA) curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or has passed a national examination for physical therapist assistants (PTA).
- Must currently hold a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license of good standing in the state of Colorado.
- Must be able to communicate in the language of the client and document client related activity as appropriate.
- Possesses adequate and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferably One (1) year of experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
- Preferably Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) experience in the Home Health Care / Home Care Setting
