What you'll do
The Physical Therapy Assistant- Outpatient will work Per Diem, Days. The primary purpose of this job to perform designated job duties related to the operations of the Physical Therapy Department and to assist in direct treatment of the residents/patients under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist as determined by the Director of Rehabilitative Services.

• Assist Physical Therapist in direct resident/registrant/patient treatment regime, exemplifying knowledge and skills in Physical Therapy procedures.
• Maintain level of Physical Therapy education and licensure continuing education per New York State Department of Education standards.
• Develop and update resident/patient care plan as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitative Services per Comprehensive Care Planning Policy.
• Attend resident/patient care planning and discharge planning meetings as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
• Completion of restorative progress notes as assigned per Physical Therapy documentation policy.
• Be directly responsible to the Director of Rehabilitative Services in all tasks and skills as designated and outlines.
• Maintain Department Records.
• Maintain a safe and infection free environment and equipment.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistant students as directed.
• Attend all required in-services and follow department and facility policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent resident/patient care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations.

What we need from you
Education:

• Must possess an Associate Degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant Program from an accredited college or equivalent in accordance with the commissioners regulation

License/Certification:

• Must possess current NYS license.

Required Skills:

• Good verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Some computer skills desired.

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $24.50/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $28.50/Hr.
