Physical Therapy Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Physical Therapy Aide. As an Aide, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide support and assistance to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care, including but not limited to exercises, stretches, and modalities under their supervision.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Escort patients to and from therapy beds, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Observe and report patient progress, reactions, and concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
• Assist with performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and collecting payments.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, notifying appropriate personnel of any shortages or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in related fields preferred.
• Physical Therapy students or Aide experience a plus
• Experience/Interest in dealing with patient care
• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred.
• CPR certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if not currently certified.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Physical ability to assist with lifting and transferring patients as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 19 per week
