The hours are as follows:
Monday. Wednesday and Thursday - 10am-7pm
Tuesday and Friday - 8:30am-1:30pm
Job Duties:
Assist with patient intake
Observe patients, document patients responses and progress
Liaise with physicians' offices and hospital personnel
Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Prepare patients for physical treatment, educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercises.
Help assist the Physician Therapist and Physician Therapy Assistant by providing heat packs, paraffin dips.
Help patients onto exercise equipment, monitor motion, track walking time and distance, measure mobility, perform prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules and regulations i.e. clean beds, gym equipment, PT modalities.
Ensure operation of Physical Therapy equipment, complete preventive maintenance, call for repairs.
Maintain Physical Therapy supplies inventory, anticipate needs, place and expedite orders.
