We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team! You will plan physical rehabilitative programs to improve patient quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as, but not limited to the following: Quality Improvement meeting, professional staff meetings, Commander's staff meetings, Surgical Services Flight meetings, and other required by applicable regulations, MTF guidance, or as directed by the Surgical Services Flight Commander of his/her designated representative.
Practice General Hospital safety, infection control, aseptic and sterile techniques for safe handling of sharps, electrical equipment, and blood or blood products, to include cleaning of work areas and equipment.
Responsible for delivery treatment within the personnel and equipment capabilities of MTF, provision of mandated medical surveillance and preventive services and quality and timeliness of treatment records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided.
Ensure safe work environment and safe employee work habits.
Perform assigned procedures within the physical therapy clinic.
A Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from a Physical Therapy program acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General and accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
Licensure/Registration
Must provide proof of and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
A current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in any of the fifty States, the district of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S Virgin Islands.
Have at least 24 months of experience within the past 36 months as a Physical Therapist OR Certified entry level PT with less than two years of verified completion of prior internship at the Department of Defense Facility.
