We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient care and assist in the implementation of treatment plans. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patients' conditions
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' mobility, strength, and coordination
- Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Monitor patients' progress and document treatment outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Experience in occupational health, acute care, or hospital settings is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
