Include, but not limited to:
Facility Security Risk Assessments
- Conducts site checks on a regular basis noting any security vulnerabilities, improvements or deficiencies
- Assists in reviewing and responding to customer security audits in support of ISO, PDI and GDPR compliance
Security CCTV Systems
- Regularly reviews systems for camera clarity, field of view and recording efficiency to ensure operating effectiveness -Responds to system technical issues and repairs or schedules repairs timely
- Proactively reviews stored and live video footage looking for security anomalies, suspicious persons or events that need additional security review
- Completes other system tasks as required
Access Control
- Understand and monitor SHI practices for issuing and terminating user badges
- Regularly check status of global panels and doors (functionality and connectivity in system)
- Responsible for administering, and managing badging process through the life-cycle (activating, maintenance, recovering and deactivating) for all SHI locations (as appropriate and feasible) for SHI and tenants.
- Monitor access control alerts in real time – when possible
- Access recertification as identified:
- Access reviews to ensure appropriate level of access based upon role and position to all of our offices. Contractor access removed, etc.
- Review failed or suspicious access attempts
- Provide security reports
- Regularly uses system tools to ensure operating effectiveness and efficiency
- Responds to system technical issues and repairs or schedules repairs timely
- Completes other system tasks as required
Workplace Investigations (working with HR, IT, Legal, et al.)
- Assist as directed with workplace investigations including video footage and reports
Physical Security
- Responsible for monitoring SHI locations security systems and alerts (i.e., alarms, locks, etc.)
- Perimeter security; including, but not limited to:
- Ensure cameras are functioning at all sites to appropriate levels
- Investigate Physical Security system alerts (ie: Genea/WinPak/ProWatch, Milestone, Envoy etc) work with support staff as required
- When feasible, walk SHI sites observing general security issues and enforcing overall safety protocols
- Ensure updates are completed on all camera systems, as required, manage password updates/changes and recommend new camera locations, as required.
- Assist with response to alarm and security events
- Interact at appropriate level with local law enforcement, code officials, fire officials etc
- Liaison with and oversee contract guard operations at SHI sites
- Provides in-field support for alarm monitoring onsite needs (projects, system issues)
- Completes system alarm testing annually
- Completes system panic alarm testing annually (in applicable sites)
- Completes other system tasks as required
General Site Safety Support
- Assist with Fire Alarms and evacuation procedures as needed
- Training
- CPR/AED
- Reporting any facilities deficiencies to the Facilities Manager or designee at that site
- Minimum of 5 years’ direct related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Access, Intrusion Alarm, Fire, CCTV system experience
- Understanding of low voltage wiring and basic networking principles is a plus
- Understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Must have effective communication skills both in writing and verbal (position requires significant interfacing with all levels of internal and external customers)
- Must possess or be able to acquire a valid driver's license and comply with company's vehicle operations policy
- Must be able and willing to take initiative and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively and independently under minimal supervision
- Must be able to multi-task, overseeing several projects at the same time
- Ability to conduct self in a respectable, responsible and courteous manner
- Ability to project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees and the company, maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with difficult situations
- Ability to keep yourself and your team safe while on the job
- Ability to keep facilities safe and leave them clean when the installation/repair is complete
- Test systems to ensure they work properly and all connections are established
- Use technical skills to read blueprints and schematic wiring diagrams and follow installation guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions/manuals, troubleshooting guides and manufacturer specifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
- Proactive, driven and positive work attitude
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities
- Ability to work hours outside normal scheduled shift with minimal notice required
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
