Pay range:
$42.72 - $64.08
Per diem/ 6-8 hour per shift shift
Variable days / 2 - 3 days per week
NICU is seeking an experienced Occupational or Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist for our youngest patients in need of this important service. Our ideal candidate will have a patient first approach and a heart for partnering with the patients family and care team to ensure long-term success and progress.
The Physical Therapist - Evaluates and establishes prescribed physical therapy programs using Physical Therapy theory and skills to restore function, relieve pain, improve dysfunction, and assist the patient to his or her optimal functional capacity.
The Occupational Therapist - Upon physician referral evaluates, develops, establishes and carries out a prescribed therapy program for infant patients that will work towards optimal functioning and feeding advancement.
The Speech Language Pathologist - Responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, planning, administration and supervision of speech language pathology treatment in accordance with physician referral, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrates clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Minimum Qualifications
Occupational Therapist:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy and completion of six-month Field work Experience required.
- Licensed as OTR by the State of Washington required, or meets licensure requirements and holds a temporary permit.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Inpatient hospital experience and NICU experience required.
Physical Therapist:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy required. Must have completed a professional curriculum in a college or university that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- Must be licensed in the State of Washington by the Division of Professional Licensing.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Inpatient hospital experience and NICU experience required.
Speech Language Pathologist:
- Master's Degree or Master's Equivalent in Speech/Language Pathology from an AHSA accredited university program is required. For Clinical Fellowship candidates, graduate of a Medical Speech-Language Pathology program highly preferred.
- Must be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Washington. Must have Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech/Language Pathology from ASHA.
- Current BLS certification is also required.
- Inpatient hospital experience and NICU experience required.
