The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing Wells Fargo's physical base metal and/or agriculture/dairy desk by originating, structuring, trading, and managing transactions involving physical Base Metals and/or agricultural commodities, with a geographic focus on North America. Generally, transactions will involve commodity inventory working capital and hedging solutions for Wells Fargo's customers involving these commodities. Examples of common transaction structures include repo and reverse-repo transactions, intermediations, consignments, prepaid swaps, and forward contracts. Experience with physical valuation, basis, and deliverable versus non-deliverable specifications of commodity inventory is preferred. This team-member will work closely with Wells Fargo's banking partners, as well as legal, credit, market risk, and other members of the trading and structuring teams to manage these transactions, including the associated market and credit risk.

This position reports into the Markets Division of the Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), which transacts in traded products, such as foreign exchange, rates, commodities, and equities.
This role will be based in Houston, TX or New York, NY.
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 8+ years of physical base metal trading, origination, and/or marketing experience
- Knowledge and understanding of business development: business vision, strategies, and goals
- Experience with trading physical commodities within the financial services industry
- A master's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
- Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
- Strong financial background in capital markets
- Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

- Base pay range for this position in New York is 275,000.00 - 275,000.00 USD
- May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
