This position is part-time and fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Develop/edit a series of websites and exams for a U.S. government client
- Upload exams and new SCORM packages to Moodle LMS
- Work with existing PHP applications to implement break-fixes and client feature requests
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Integrate data storage solutions
Required Skills
- 3 years experience with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Solid understanding of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility
- Strong knowledge of PHP, including object-oriented programming principals
- Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD methods
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to pass a DHS background check.
- Ability to work and attend meetings during standard business hours (Eastern Time)
Preferred Skills
- Active Public Trust or higher security clearance
- Certified DHS Trusted Tester
