- Performs lab draws, heel sticks, etc.
- Uses appropriate patient identifiers.
- Maintains a working knowledge of both the laboratory and hospital information systems and tools.
- Provides dispatching or coordinating of collections and performs procedures in a standardized, accurate manner.
- Knowledge of the parameters of acceptability and critical values.
- Expected to perform other duties as required or assigned.

- High School Diploma - or - GED
- A minimum of one year in pediatric phlebotomy training/experience in a clinical or laboratory setting is preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification or Certified Phlebotomist training
- BLS Certification by the American Heart Association (must be obtained within 30 days of hire date)
- FIT Testing must be obtained within 60 days of hire date.
