Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry by collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing. Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and other blood sampling procedures using proper aseptic technique
- Collect and label blood specimens accurately and ensure proper documentation
- Prepare samples for laboratory testing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- Verify patient information and confirm patient identity before performing any procedures
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort during the phlebotomy process
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions

Skills:
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and specimen handling protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately label specimens
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred
- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP) is highly desirable
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
-Fluent in Spanish is a plus
-Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug testing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
