Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations and assisting with various scientific procedures. Your expertise in immunoassays, physiology knowledge, aseptic technique, and clinical laboratory practices will contribute to the success of our research and diagnostic efforts.

Duties:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of senior laboratory staff
- Prepare samples for analysis, including blood sampling and DNA isolation
- Conduct immunoassays and other diagnostic tests
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality control
- Assist with data entry, record keeping, and result reporting
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow

Skills:
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory practices
- Experience with aseptic technique and proper handling of specimens
- Familiarity with immunoassays and other diagnostic methods
- Ability to accurately record data and maintain detailed records
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
