Job Description

Who We Are

Our mission at CASA of Clackamas County is to recruit, train, and support court appointed special advocates (CASAs): community volunteers who advocate for the best interest of children in the foster care system who need safe, permanent homes. As such, we envision a world where children who experience abuse and neglect are given the opportunity to thrive.

Core to our identity are our organization’s values—justice, humility, hope, and connection:

For us, justice is achieved when those who work on behalf of children in foster care have their best interests at heart. Equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging are key components of justice.

We define humility as acknowledging that the sum is greater than the parts. Through listening and candor, perspectives and vital information are shared. Everyone takes accountability for their words and actions.

We act on our hope and believe, through action, great change is possible. People and communities should strive for the best versions of themselves.

Relationships are core to human experience. Meaningful connection inspires, energizes, and advances every aspect of CASA of Clackamas County’s mission.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, and our employees are people with different strengths, experiences, and backgrounds who share a passion for changing the lives of children in foster care for the better. Diversity not only includes race and gender identity, but also age, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, religion, and many other parts of one’s identity.

What You’ll Find Here

Child welfare is a universal concern, and we need people from all backgrounds to achieve our mission and vision. Our team is empathetic, caring, and supportive. We are deliberate and self-reflective about the kind of team we build and care deeply about supporting each other's growth.

In addition to a team of passionate and committed people working to make the world a better place for kids in foster care, you will find we have a flexible work environment (our workday is from 9:00am – 4:30 pm), and a beautiful office space on the Promenade in Oregon City. We are within walking distance to all the wonderful Oregon City Main Street restaurants and shops.
