Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician at Bios Companies, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications for our customers. Your responsibilities will include receiving and verifying prescription orders, compounding medications, and maintaining accurate records of all medications dispensed. You will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients and ensuring that all medications are handled and stored in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and compound medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications dispensed
• Follow all safety and quality assurance procedures in handling and storing medications
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, including answering queries and addressing any concerns
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and new medications to ensure the best possible service for our customers
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience
• State Pharmacy Technician license or certification (if required in your state)
• Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of pharmacy software systems
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time
