Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Jupiter Research Services Inc. As a leading research and development company, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients by developing innovative pharmaceutical products. The Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our research efforts and ensuring the accuracy and safety of our pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medications for clinical trials and research studies
- Accurately counting, measuring, and labeling medications
- Maintaining inventory and stock levels of medications and supplies
- Communicating with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of medications
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
- Participating in the training and supervision of new Pharmacy Technician employees
- Assisting with data entry and record keeping for research studies
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a research or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, calculations, and compounding techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in computer skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed
