Responsibilities
- Completes physician orders by retrieving orders and completing the necessary steps associated with processing to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Assists with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies by replenishing supplies, documenting items to be ordered, and rotating stock to maintain appropriate stock levels in the pharmacy
- Maintains appropriate stock levels of approved pharmaceuticals and supplies in patient care areas by monitoring stock on hand to ensure effective administration of medication
- Assumes leadership responsibilities as assigned by management to facilitate operational efficiencies
- Assists in the maintenance of orderliness and cleanliness of the department.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician throuh the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Ability to calculate and compound medication orders
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Intravenous Admixture Certification Course through an approved ACPE provider
