Pharmacy Services Clerk

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure to acknowledge customers with make eye contact, smile and provide assistance
• Log sales on cash register, process payments as well as accurately bag prescriptions.
• Ensure prescriptions given to patient are correct with respect to patient using name along with address to confirm.
• Handle complete money properly and record all transactions accurately.
• Gather and process new customer information accurately to ensure patients experience exceptional customer service.
• Review list of filled prescriptions that have not been picked up after 10 days
• Greet customer in person in a friendly manner and offer to assist them.
• Understand the complex needs of patients and answer patient questions regarding topics such as:
• Compounding prescriptions and time to fill (new formulas, out of stock items, refills, etc.)
• Pharmacy hours of operation
• Delivery fees and availability of IVR for automatic refills via phone system, also procedures to use Rx Local service app and website.
• Ensure that waiting patients are taken care of by communicating their needs to other employees, as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work as well as attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to problem solve
• Ability to work well in a team environment
