The Research and Population Health team is looking for a Pharmacy Technician (internally known as a Pharmacy Optimization Coordinator) to join us! This team is responsible for leading the development and implementation of key studies for our clients. We are are working to provide personalized and exceptional member service by assisting our members in choosing cost effective care.
What you'll do:
- Under the supervision of the pharmacist, you will support the efforts of the clinical research team in order to provide cost effective medications to our members.
- Conduct member and provider outreach to present cost saving pharmacy opportunities (converting to mail order, brand to generic, non-preferred to preferred formulary agent)
- Act as a liaison to our Care Management team to resolve pharmacy related issues
- Documents and record services/activities in appropriate databases/software
- Produce reports and statistics as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High School or GED 2+ years of experience working as Pharmacy Technician in a managed care (case management experience preferred), hospitals, and/or retail environments (Medication Therapy Management experience is a plus).
- Strong telephonic experience working with members and providers.
- Good computer skills and working knowledge of Google sheets, documents and slides
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with Pharmacy Technician License preferred.
Pay Transparency Statement
This is a hybrid position based out of our Plano, TX or Lehi, UT office, with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week. #LI-hybrid
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the hourly rate, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
