Route Sales Representative

Independent Distribution Company is seeking a Route Sales Representative in Denver, CO area.

We have an immediate opening for a responsible, organized individual to join our Route Sales team. The Route Driver will be responsible for providing Route Sales and delivery services for leading brands of baked goods including Dave's Killer bread, Wonder Bread, Nature's Own, Tastykake and others, to grocery customers in Denver and surrounding areas. As a Route Sales Representative, you drive a company truck to different stores, work independently to unload orders, merchandise product, partner with store managers to increase sales, order, and maintain records throughout the day. A Route Sales Representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Drive an established route delivering to multiple customers each day.

Engage with customers in a professional and positive manner.

Continually review customer’s needs for new service and sales opportunities.

Manage truck inventory levels and coordinate stocking and proper merchandising of products in stores.

Review customer invoices for accuracy.

Communicate with safety directors regarding arrival times and inventory needed.

The work is performed early morning five days a week. Wednesdays and Sundays are off but they are optional for part-time work. This is a 1099 work as a contractor.

Requirements:

At least 21 years old

Excellent customer service skills and an attitude that lets the customer know they are our priority.

Ability to effectively interact with others, be a team player, and solve conflict.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills to develop and build strong relationships with our customers.

The ability to repeatedly load, unload, lift and carry light deliveries.

At least one year of previous Route Sales experience.

A verifiable Motor Vehicle Record history of good driving.

The ability to safely operate a Company vehicle, a box truck (uHaul/Ryder).

Valid driver’s license/clean driving record

Must consent to take a background check

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
