• Hours of operation are 8:15am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Primary Responsibility of the Pharmacy Manager:

Manage activities of Pharmacy personnel and oversee daily dispensing and distribution operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies and state boards of pharmacy. This position would operate under the supervision of the Vice President, Pharmacy.

Key Duties and responsibilities of the Pharmacy Manager:

• Manage a team of about 10; team is comprised of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Support personnel.

• Maintain policies and procedures for the procurement, storage, compounding, and dispensing of drugs

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations

• Assist in the review and maintenance of payor contracts and obligations

• Responsible for training of new employees, as required

• Help maintain a Performance Improvement (PI) Program

• Oversee and approve creation of new formulations for specific compounded preparations

• Check compounding formulations of oral solutions, capsules, topical medications, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or treats and other medications for dispensing

• Manage the compounding of medications, filling and labeling of prescriptions, repackaging of bulk materials

• Account for all scheduled drugs (2,3,4 & 5) in the pharmacy

Obtain and maintain all required licenses and certificates

Key requirements for the Pharmacy Manager:

• BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy

• State of Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing

• Multistate licenses is highly preferred

• 3-5 years of pharmacy management experience required.

• Must exhibit excellent telephone, customer service and computer skills with the desire to represent the department in a professional and courteous manner

• Ability to problem solve and establish trust

• Possess a high level of product knowledge and highly developed communication skills
