The Data Entry Technician processes new and refilled prescriptions received via facsimile, Escript, or U.S. Mail. This is done by opening prescription orders, confirming patient eligibility, proofing, and inputting prescriptions into the electronic data processing system.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create orders while following procedures and maintaining quality standards.
- Forward incomplete or rejected scripts to appropriate department for resolution and track status of prescriptions.
- Initiate and document correspondence between departments and customers.
- Assist with the flow of customer service by accepting and making phone calls as needed.
- This position must be able to properly identify prescription issues requiring the attention of other department(s).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- General computer knowledge
- Basic math skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic oral and written communication skills
- Customer service know-how
- Prior Data Entry experience
- Detail orientated with organizational skills.
- Ability to adjust in an active work environment.
- Learns quickly, solves problems, and makes decisions.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
