Location: The ideal candidate for this position will live within 50 miles of our Grand Prairie, TX PulsePoint location and have a TX license. This position is first shift (9 am- 5:30 pm) and will be asked to go into the office during an extended training period and then a hybrid work model (1-2 days in the office per week).

The Pharmacist - Resolutions/Doctor Call - CarelonRx, Advanced Home Delivery is responsible for performing the duties of a licensed pharmacist and Ensuring adherence to laws and regulations governing the sale of pharmaceuticals and maintaining compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations as well as local, state, and federal requirements as it pertains to prescriptions.
How you will make an impact:
  • Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance.
  • Receives and reviews prescriptions issued by prescribing practitioners to ensure accuracy, and appropriateness of medication, and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
  • Ensures compliance with laws governing the practice of home delivery pharmacy and distribution of drugs. Answers questions and provides guidance to prescribers, patients, or pharmacy team on drug interaction, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Engages in consultation with prescriber regarding interpretation of prescription information as needed.
  • Ensures pharmacy operations are handled in an organized and efficient manner in the absence of the Lead Pharmacist and/or manager.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D and minimum of 1 year experience working as a Pharmacist in a retail setting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Valid Registered Pharmacist license required.

Preferred Experiences:
  • Experience in high volume mail order or specialty pharmacy preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy adjudication platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in training teams on new processes/procedures desired.
  • Bilingual preferred.
