Hudson Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist In charge/Pharmacy Manager to handle the day to day operations of the pharmacy, including staff management. We offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K and paid time off and holiday pay.


The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of pharmacy site
operations, providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to Advanced Care
patients, and maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures of Advanced
Care, the state's professional standards, and all other regulatory entities. The
Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the coordination of patient care services, the
distribution and reimbursement of goods and services, and assisting caregivers and
other healthcare personnel. Additional responsibilities include the purchase, control
and security of all drug products and medical supplies and maintaining a clean and
orderly pharmacy working area appropriate to guidelines.

Qualifications:
1. B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from a college of pharmacy accredited by
the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education and valid license to
practice pharmacy in Michigan
2. Experience with a knowledge of:
a. Pharmaceutical regulations as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines
pertaining to retail and other care settings.
b. Laws, regulations and guidelines governing the dispensing of medications
information systems, system applications and other equipment relative to
pharmaceutical service
3. Ability to relate information concerning a patient, client, consumer or
resident's condition
4. Two years supervisory experience in a relevant pharmacy setting
5. Demonstrates ethical practice and quality care.
6. Demonstrates the ability and initiative to work independently and as a part of
a coordinated team.
7. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, time management
and organizational skills.
8. Current valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance
9. Ability to work under stressful conditions

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Chooses daily activities so that they reflect a priority on the delivery of
pharmaceutical care, and arranges workflow so that the pharmaceutical care
needs of patients are met.
2. Maintains a professional image by consistently maintaining professional
etiquette and decorum.
3. Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information, and ensures
that legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of
information are observed.
4. Maintain responsibility for controlled substance compliance.
5. Assures execution of daily staff functions and tasks.
6. Manages inventory by considering the most cost-effective drug product
selection. These tasks may be delegated to other pharmacy staff and include,
but are not limited to:
a. Maintaining compliance with existing drug purchasing contracts.
b. Internally audit purchasing history to assure compliance with existing
contracts.
c. Determine inventory value once a month and enter data into the
Advanced Care Portal.
d. Internally audit drug product usage patterns and appropriately adjust
inventory as needed.
7. Assists with policy development, implementation, and compliance.
8. Attends and actively participates in scheduled pharmacy operations meetings.
9. Assesses the patient's pharmaceutical needs and incorporates into the patient
plan of care. These tasks may be delegated to other pharmacy staff and
include, but are not limited to:
a. Documentation on eCare Plan platform (STRAND, RxCompass,
PrescribeWellness, etc.)
b. Perform monthly checks for other clinical reimbursement opportunities
(comprehensive medication reviews, adherence check-ins, and missing
drug therapy via Outcomes MTM, EQuIPP, etc.)
c. Effectively communicate with other members of the healthcare team
(providers, care managers, etc.)
10. Provides support to clinical and non-clinical team members.
11. Compounds, mixes and prepares medications according to prescriptions
written by medical practitioners, and in compliance with FDA and USP
regulations.
12. Maintain current knowledge of pharmaceutical and disease state management
guidelines.
13. Maintain current knowledge of the latest innovative methods pertaining to
pharmacy practice.
14. Ensures completion of appropriate documentation to facilitate reimbursement.
These tasks may be delegated to other pharmacy staff and include, but are not
limited to:
a. Documenting day supply for various dosing formulations

b. Utilization of necessary prior authorization codes
c. Utilization of any non-traditional reimbursement methods (clinical
services, paper claims, etc.)
d. Prepare documentation for audits (On-site, desk, internal)
15. Resolves disputes via appropriate consideration, compromise, and general
interactions with others.
16. Treat team members with respect and consideration.
17. Fosters and supports interdepartmental teamwork.
18. Assists in marketing and business development endeavors when needed.
19. Represents department on committee, group, or other multi-departmental
initiatives.
20. Accepts "Pharmacist In charge" responsibilities. This includes, but is not
limited to:
a. Understanding and obtaining answers for State of Michigan inspections
for pharmacy operations. (Refer to Page 3)
21. All other duties assigned by management.
IV. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
 Light lifting - up to 25 lbs. maximum
 Reaching & handling - extending hands and arms, working with hands.
 Verbal communication - expressing or exchanging ideas through spoken word
in person, via telephone and internet
 Auditory - perceiving sounds in person and telephonically
 Vision - obtaining impressions visually of the shape, size, distance, motion,
color, or other characteristics of objects.
 Exposure to the following environmental conditions:
o Inside-protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from
temperature changes. Employee spends majority of time inside.
