SalaryGolden Gate Pharmacy is looking for a full-time pharmacist to join our team in our CLOSED DOOR Long Term Care Pharmacy.
We are a fun family owned long-term care pharmacy that understands the universal needs of healthcare facilities while providing the personal touches that an independent pharmacy can offer.
Our pharmacy is a closed door pharmacy therefore 99% of our prescriptions are either delivered or shipped to our clients. We have minimal interaction with the general public. The majority of our interactions are with healthcare providers which makes our work environment incredibly different from the typical retail environment.
As an independent pharmacy we are in a unique position to make changes to our company without the red tape that is required at a national pharmacy. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is collaborative, willing to adapt and bring new ideas to the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must have a current CA pharmacist’s license.
- JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Verification of medication and treatment orders
- Screening for interactions, allergies, and appropriate medication therapy
- Consulting with prescribers and nurses at the facilities we service
- Final reviewing prescription orders
- Communication with managers, co-workers, and account representatives
