Start Date: 02/26/2024-6/15/2024 with possible extension.
Pay rate: $68.30/hour.
Location: Houston, TX 77094
The position will be for an onsite inpatient staff pharmacist position.
Duties:

- Ensures the appropriateness of all medication doses in reference to the patient’s diagnosis, weight/body surface area,
- Accurately enters medication orders in computer as evidenced by lack of medication incidents.
- Ensures the medications the patient receives are correct as documented by lack of dispensing errors file.
- Ensures medication orders are processed and doses are delivered within established guidelines as evidenced by peer review
- Follows aseptic technique and infection control in the preparation of sterile products. Insists technicians and other

Skills:
Inpatient hospital experience, specifically IV dose preparation, and EPIC experience
Education:
- Required- Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Or Ph.D. Pharm. D. degree.
- Required- RPH - Pharmacist State of Texas
"The pharmacist in this role shall be a licensed practitioner who holds a valid, unrestricted license to conduct clinical activities." - 2+ years hospital staff pharmacist experience preferred.
- 40 hours of training in compounding sterile products accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists required.
