Job Overview

The Pet Care Technician (PCT) is tasked with fulfilling core promises of cleanliness and compassionate care for our furry guests. The role involves direct interaction with dogs, requiring a genuine love for them and a willingness to handle tasks such as cleaning accommodations, giving baths, and overseeing doggie daycare. Strong communication and observation skills, along with a keen eye for detail, are essential for success in this position. The role also involves upholding the company's mission and values, with weekend and holiday availability being a requirement. While prior Pet Care experience is appreciated, it is not mandatory.

Essential Job Functions

• Actively pursue and accomplish the mission and goals of K9 Resorts.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to company policies and procedures for the care of all guests.
• Demonstrate a customer service-oriented approach.
• Take responsibility for the health and well-being of all dogs in Daycare and Boarding.
• Manage the sanitation of accommodations and outdoor areas, perform bathing, and oversee daycare activities.
• Handle feeding and medication administration for all dogs.
• Provide personal playtimes for dogs as required.
• Take dogs outside as necessary.
• Conduct thorough body checks to identify pre-existing conditions and/or injuries.
• Able to work on your feet for 8 hours or more and lift at least 30 pounds.

Requirements

• Educational Background: High School diploma or equivalent
• Flexibility in Schedule: Demonstrate flexibility by being able to work any shift outside of the regular schedule, as requested by the Resort General Manager
• Availability for Weekends and Holidays: Be available to work weekends and holidays
• Communication Skills: Demonstrate above-average written and spoken communication skills
