Pest Control Technician

Turf Doctor Inc., a partner of Fairway Lawns in Madison, AL, is seeking a Pest Control Technician who enjoys diagnosing and resolving a variety of pest, termite, and rodent problems to protect our customers’ property. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for helping customers, understands the importance of using environmentally responsible pest and termite treatments, and wants to expand their knowledge in our industry.

This position pays $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Experience is a plus but not required; if you are motivated, hardworking, and willing to learn we will teach you the skills you need to excel in this role. If you have prior experience in Landscaping, Maintenance, Construction, General Laborer, or if you enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

• Treat customer’s outdoor and indoor areas such as crawl spaces and attics for pest, termite and rodent problems.
• Provide unmatched customer service by communicating with the customer in a professional manner about their service.
• Make recommendations for customers’ pest treatment solutions and plans.
• Identify solutions for common and complex Pest Control issues and play an active role in the implementation and solution.
• Use environmentally responsible pesticide products and follow proper application guidelines.
• Drive an assigned route using a company vehicle.
• Maintain company vehicle including cleanliness, submitting requests for routine maintenance to the fleet department.

What We Need from You:

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in Pest Control preferred, but not required.
• Prior experience running routes in a service-based industry strongly preferred.
• Pest Control License issued by the State Department of Agriculture or ability to pass exam within 60 days of employment (AR, TN residents only).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without any accommodation.
• Flexibility to work Saturday hours on an as-needed basis to meet production goals.
