The Personnel Security Assistant III provides administrative security services in accordance with the relevant Executive Orders (EOs), U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and the policies, orders and guiding directives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) support to conduct Scattered Castles checks.
- Data entry in CISA case management systems and maintain Personnel Security files for all CISA Federal employees, contractors, private sector employees, detailees and interns.
- Prepares written documentation in support of the Personnel Security mission such as internal standard operating procedures, reports, training and instructional materials, and briefings.
- Manage operations that request additional information or documentation as needed to support data analysis;
- Provide timely responses to inquiries regarding Personnel Security processes;
- Provide status of background investigations;
- Verify clearance levels and self-reported security information;
- Manage operations that accurately elevate, enter and update data into relevant internal and external systems and databases with strong attention to detail;
- Serves as a contractor employee team lead
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Shall possess a high school diploma.
- Must have a Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain SCI.
- Must have three (3) years of Personnel Security administration, proven experience providing administrative security support, excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office, etc., excellent written and oral communication, risk-management and problem-solving skills.
