Mayvin is seeking a Personnel Security Assistant who will support the Office of Security Programs within the U.S. Marshals Service. The Personnel Security Assistant will work with other Government Agencies, Contractors, and Federal Employees to support initial investigations and reinvestigations for the federal background investigation process.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must undergo and pass a background investigation (BI)
Responsibilities:
- Determine the appropriate level of initial investigation and reinvestigation depending on the position's designation level
- Conduct preliminary record checks of the Office of Personnel Management's Central Verification System (CVS) to determine if a current reciprocal investigation meets position designation requirements.
- Invite the individual into e-QIP (electronic Questionnaire for Investigative Processing) and assist with e-QIP access issues
- Determine if additional inquiries are necessary to resolve discrepant, negative, or contradictory information
- Fingerprint applicants and employees, conduct National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/National Law Enforcement. Telecommunications System (NLETS) inquiries; conduct credit checks
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience as a Personnel Security Assistant
- 3 years of experience with initiation and review of electronic Questionnaire for Investigative Process (e-QIP)
- 3 years of experience conducting National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/National Law Enforcement. Telecommunications System (NLETS) inquiries; conduct credit checks.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
