Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of Personal Injury Litigation, from case inception to resolution
- Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for case evaluation
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis or other legal research tools
- Organize and maintain case files, including indexing and filing documents
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and other meetings
- Prepare trial notebooks and exhibits for use in court
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and document management
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a paralegal in Personal Injury law
- Proficient in clerical tasks such as transcribing dictation, filing documents, and managing calendars
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of legal research methods and resources, including Lexis-Nexis or similar databases
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures related to Personal Injury cases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with contract review and legal drafting is a plus
